Our Facility

The biomedical research industry demands animals that are in optimal health. To meet this need, our biosecurity begins at the front door maintaining stringent entry procedures to protect the health status of our colony. In our brand new facility, all ferrets are housed in the barrier in a new and improved caging system.

The new Buck Creek facility provides treated water, upgraded security, and HVAC controls allowing us to comply with current regulatory facility recommendations as well as the ability to continue to advance with the changing biosecurity needs to maintain influenza-free ferrets.

Our facility is fully compliant with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal Welfare Act and its accompanying regulations. We are a USDA licensed (23-A-0312) Class A Breeder facility currently consisting of one facility with several animal housing rooms. As a continued commitment to the biomedical research industry and animal welfare, we are fully accredited by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC International).
